Jewelry is my passion that was literally learned at my father's knee. I have been an artist all my life, primarily specializing in portraits and acrylic paintings. My father has been a silversmith for the last 50 years of his life and I grew up around the art of jewelry designing. I acquired my appreciation and love of stones from him. To this day, he cuts and polishes most of my stones that are used in my designs. Since his teaching me the ways of a silversmith, I have attended specialized workshops with some of the masters of the jewelry world. I will be attending more this year as I feel it is important to always be enhancing one's knowledge and skill level.
I am best known for my work in silver with reticulation and granulation. These are old techniques that are not used as much now as they are very time consuming. My work involves a lot of texture and combination metals. I spend January in Arizona at Quartzsite. This is one of the largest mineral and gem shows in the world in which my father participates. I have pawed through mountains of rough stone for new designs. Then on to Tucson in search of more new stones. Back at the Dad's studio we cut and polish our finds.
I have participated in many area art shows including: Peter's Valley, Rosesquared, Princeton, Haddonfield, Chester, Garrison, New Paltz, Bethlehem, Old Deerfield, Hoboken, Chriskindlmarkt, Morristown Armory, and many other local shows.
In the gallery are examples of my work which are all one of kind designs. To see the entire line of jewelry, please visit one of the many art shows listed on my schedule that can be found on this web site.
