Schedule 2010
Diane Stanger
Jewelry is my passion that was literally learned at my father's knee. I have been an artist
all my life, primarily specializing in portraits and acrylic paintings. My father has been a
silversmith for the last 50 years of his life and I grew up around the art of jewelry
desoigning. I acquired my appreciation and love of stones from him. To this day, he cuts
and polishes most of the stones that are used in my designs. Since his teaching me the
ways of a silversmith, I have attended specialized workshops with some of the masters of
the jewelry world. I will be attending more this year as I feel it is important to always be
enhancing one's knowledge and skills.

I am best known for my work in silver with reticulation and granulation. These are very
old techniques that are not used much now as they are very time consuming and delicate.
I spend January in Arizona at Quartzsite. This is one of the largest gem and mineral
shows in the world in which my father participates. I have pawed through mountains of
rough stone for new patterns, then on to Tucson in search of more new stones and back to
Dad's studio where we cut and polish our finds.

I have participated in many top level art shows such as: Rosesquared, Peter's Valley,
Princeton, Tubac, Morristown, Haddonfield, Chester, New Paltz, Old Deerfield,
Bethlehem, Christkindlmarkt, and many other local shows.

In the gallery are examples of my work which are all one of a kind designs. To see my
entire line of artisan pieces, please visit one of the many art shows listed on my schedule
included in this website.

Custom Design Work - I will do custom work with your design and stone or my design
ands stone.
